Maha Periyava
On October 28 and 29, 2023 a century-long biography of Kanchi Maha Periyava Sri Chandrasekhara Saraswathi Swamigal, a play produced by Chennai-based SS International Live Company under the title ‘Deivathul Deivam’ was staged under the auspices of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Trichy Kendra and City Union Bank, supported by Dalmia Bharath cements.
In this play, the life events of Maha Periyava from 13 years to 100 years are depicted as scenes. 50 artists from Chennai and 50 artists from Trichy performed in this play. It was an emotional and devotional presentation.
Sri. K. N. Nehru, Minister of Tamil Nadu and Sri. Andbalagan, Mayor of Trichy Corporation lighted the lamp and inaugurated the event.
